With its 2165 meters, Monte Cimone dominates the northern Apennines and offers incredible views: on clear days it is possible to see up to over 40% of the entire Italian peninsula, from the Alps to the Tuscan Archipelago.

We are located in the heart of the Regional Park of the Upper Modena Apennines, an area rich in biodiversity where we can spot marmots, horses in the wild and discover the signs left by ancient populations, such as the suggestive Celtic huts dating back to the fourth century BC.

Itinerary
We will start from the parking lot of the hamlet of Doccia del Cimone, along the path that climbs up to Pian Cavallaro. From there we will reach the summit of Monte Cimone and, after a stop for lunch and to enjoy the view, we will descend to the starting point through the paths that run along the old ski slopes.
